Upgrade on self-hosted

Step 1 – Replace the module files

1. Stop the Odoo service.

2. Download the latest MailDesk ZIP.

3. Replace the existing module directory with the new version.

Step 2 – Update Python dependencies (if required)

If the new version introduces dependency changes:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Step 3 – Upgrade the module

You can upgrade via UI or CLI.

Via UI:

1. Enable Developer Mode.

2. Go to Apps.

3. Click Upgrade on the MailDesk module.

Via CLI (recommended for production):

./odoo-bin -c /etc/odoo.conf -d <DATABASE_NAME> -u maildesk_mail_client --stop-after-init
