What can the List View Manager customize per user?

Personal list views are stored per res.users . The module extends ir.ui.view with fields *user_id*, *is_custom*, *active_fields*, *is_custom_view_one2many* and *custom_view_one2many_field_id*. At render time only the view tweaks owned by the current user are loaded.

How does the manager opt a tree view into the advanced logic?

Through the *active_fields* flag on the view. When it's set, the module appends *js_class="sync_custom_list"* to the view XML at _get_combined_arch() time. The frontend patch ( static/src/js/list_renderer.js and friends) detects that class and unlocks resize, hide/show and reorder operations.

What happens to personal views when I uninstall the module?

They are wiped automatically. The manifest declares an uninstall_hook that deletes every ir.ui.view record with is_custom=True on uninstall. So no orphan custom views are left behind in the database.

Are parent-view changes propagated to custom views?

Yes. On write() against a tree view the module diffs the old vs. new arch , removes obsolete fields from every *custom child* and adds the new ones. So user-custom views stay in sync without the admin having to maintain them manually.
