Which Odoo versions does MailDesk support?

What is the difference between Basic and Pro?
Basic offers essential email integration: send & receive, shared inboxes, tags, attachments, one-way sync (emails arrive in Odoo, but actions like "read" are not synced back). Pro adds full two-way synchronisation (all actions — read/unread, move, delete — synced between Odoo and the server), AI features (phishing detection, reply suggestions, summaries), and advanced team tools. Pro is required for all 8 Workflow Bridges.
Does MailDesk support two-way sync with Office 365 and Gmail?
Yes — MailDesk Pro offers full two-way synchronisation: read/unread, move, delete and tags are reflected in both Odoo and the server. Works with Office 365 (great for SSO/calendar integration), Gmail and most IMAP/SMTP providers. Basic is one-way only.
Is MailDesk truly GDPR-compliant?
Yes. MailDesk stores all data within your Odoo instance — no cloud storage, no third-party forwarding, full control over access and archiving. Pro also includes AI-powered phishing detection that runs locally via your own API keys. No email content ever reaches Metzler IT servers.
What does MailDesk cost?

How fast is the setup?
MailDesk is typically ready within minutes. Install from the App Store or our shop, run the setup wizard, connect your accounts via OAuth2 or IMAP — done. The complete solution with a dedicated mail server is fully set up within 1–2 business days.
Can I link emails to Odoo records or create leads and tickets from emails?
Yes. You can link emails to leads, opportunities, tasks, projects, orders or any other Odoo record. CRM leads can be created directly from incoming emails (out-of-the-box). Business tier includes all 8 Workflow Bridges with automated linking rules.
What are the upgrade and version costs?
Licences are tied to a specific Odoo major version. When you upgrade Odoo (e.g., 18 → 19), you purchase the module for the new version. Subscription customers receive all Odoo major upgrades automatically at no additional cost — that's the main advantage of the subscription model.
Does MailDesk affect Odoo performance?
MailDesk is optimised and does not slow down Odoo under normal operation. Load only occurs during large-volume imports. You can limit import periods to minimise this. Pro also allows attachments to remain on the mail server to save Odoo database storage.
Is there a partner programme?
